Arcadiana Dirt Riders in Louisiana hosted Round 4 of the NEPG National Enduro Series last week and it was another incredible event in the series. Section 1 began with a light drizzle and some slick trail in this woods section. By time we got to Section 2 the clouds were lifting and the trail was getting faster. The section finished out with a grass track style ribboned section with riders hanging it all out for the spectators. Section 3 returned the riders to the campground for a needed fuel stop and for Palmer the stop came too late as he ran out of fuel in the section. Section 4 brought the riders through another spectator section that was open, fast, and had plenty of jumps & drop offs for the cheering crowd there, then returned the riders to the campground for another splash of fuel before heading out for the final legs of the race. Section 5 dropped the A and B riders into a long sand wash that caught a few off guard as the sand was soft and there were lots of obstacles to negotiate. Finally, Section 6 returned the A riders to the finish but first they had to climb up the abandoned railroad bridge abutment with many launching out of it to the delight of the cheering spectators. Palmer clearly took top honors here for 'going big'.
